Designed to teach the fundamentals of SURFCAM Traditional from a 2-axis perspective, the essential machining operations of drilling, contour milling and pocketing are emphasized. This introduction class will enable a beginning programmer to understand the software’s functionality and be productive within a short period of time.
Among the topics covered are:
• Designing – Designing and modifying part models
• Hole Process – Programming drilling operations with one or more tools
• Contour Milling - Profile machining with both regular and tapered end mills
• Pocketing – Strategies for removing all material within a specified area
• Facing, Corner Round and Chamfer Milling operations
• C-Views - Establishing alternate coordinate systems on multi-sided parts
• Part Verification – Simulating and verifying machining operations
• Post Processing – Setting up the software to work with CNC machines
• Operations Manager – Organizing and modifying machining operations
