First-class solution for metal forming manufacturing processes
Simufact Forming is an established software solution for the simulation of metal forming manufacturing processes. The software covers all essential areas of forming technology: forging, cold forming, sheet metal forming, all major incremental processes and mechanical joining. Simufact Forming provides support in microstructure simulation, calculation of die load, material flow and prediction of material properties in the course of conventional and inductive heat treatment. Furthermore, thermo-mechanical joining methods of pressure welding are also supported.

Frequently Asked Questions
A material with damage model defined was used, but there are no damage results shown. How should I go about this?
Additional to the definition of the damage model in the material, the calculation has to be activated in the forming control under "Output results."
The simulation (FE) stops with an exit code. What should I do?
Check the output files (*.out and *.log) and search for "*** exit" for more detailed information on the problem (If DDM is used, there are multiple *.out files). Additionally, check the results in the results view for penetrations, distorted elements, areas with high effective plastic strains, etc. For debugging, the results output frequency can be increased in the forming control under "Output divisions".
How can I run a simulation on a server / other computer?
a) Use Simufact Remote (preferred) or Start Scripts (see Installation Guide and Infosheet). The simulation is running on the server, but the results are continuously copied back to the client. So, the project and results are saved on the client.
b) Using Windows Remote Desktop (or similar): Log in on the server, open and run the project on the server. There is no data exchange with the client.
c) Open Simufact Forming GUI on the client; the project is stored on the server: After writing the solver input, do not start the simulation from the GUI, but start it by executing runsf.bat in the _Run_ folder on the server. The GUI should be closed while the simulation runs to avoid file access errors. For this to work, the installation paths on client and server must be identical.
